Innumerable people have helped me over the course of my life to this point. I can't list them all but I did want to mention a few, in no particular order, who affected my career so they can share the blame if needed.Ben Ferrell - Ben is the owner and president of BMCFerrell. He gave me the opportunity to work with some pretty incredible people for over five years. He's one of the good guys.
Tom Mohn - Tom is the pastor emeritus or some such Latin title at Bread of Life Fellowship. I was his associate for seven years. Tom banished a lot of religious thinking from my brain and co-devoured many power lunches during some difficult years.
Jim Moore - Jim owns Resource One, a printing and direct mail house. I went with Jim to Dallas one day to look at a printing press. He ended up buying the whole printing company. He's nuts in a rather remarkable way.
Don Boshears - Don and I were partners in business years ago. Don was a born negotiator who taught me scores of valuable business and life lessons over five years. He died last year but made an impact while he lived.
Ron Smith - Ron was a mentor to me in my early career and still would be today had he not died way too young. He was a brilliant strategist and always challenged me to think more deeply. There are many days I long for his opinion.
Dr. Wanda Hartman - Wanda hired me to teach high school when I needed a job to support my preaching habit. Those students taught me a lot.
Oral Roberts - You know, Oral had his flaws, but he was a big man. He taught me to dream big and work hard. Part of my entrepreneurial zeal is his fault.
Linda - I could write a site devoted to what my wife LInda has meant to me. She seems to handle living with me better than I do.
Linda's mom Diana - surviving three cancer surgeries she's a walking marvel and inspiration. Linda's dad Ival died 20 years ago but was like a second dad to me.
My children - Tina, Kim,and Ryan. You three added a big helping of worthwhile to the recipe of my life. When I look stunned it's your fault.
Mom and Dad - Mildred and Al, how was it that you had the vision for your children to go to college? I've got some good stuff in me, and I think most of it you put there.
